Mermaid notepad | Altered notepad

Hello friends,
Today I am popping up to share something different which is an altered notepad. This one is very quick and simple.

I used some scrap paper and cut into different width and trimmed the length as per the notepad. Gave the edges a wave design using wave craft scissors and distressed the edges and glued them in layers to cover the notepad.

The mermaid tail is hand drawn and cut from colored paper. I have been hoarding some shell/ scales shaped flakes since many years and this was a perfect project to use them. So I glued them on the tail cutout and added some details with black gel pen. I then tucked it into one of the waves and glued it. Used white gel pen to add some splash and handwritten the sentiment.

Also made another version not using those scales.

Here is a short video too

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day ahead!!

I am playing along following challenges
