Hello friends,
I am here to share a very quick post today, a birthday tag.  I used black acrylic color to coat the tag first then added few detail with white acrylic. Added the pre colored flower and leaves with the birthday sentiment. Then put a tassel at bottom and matching ribbon on top. To finish added few sequins.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Another Birthday Card....

Hi,
Hope you are having a rocking start to your week! Today, I am sharing a birthday card.

Here's the front of the card, looks plain. I wanted to make it look something like distressed frames that we get, using the border stamp(Itsy Bitsy)  The center is the vellum. Nothing else here except two tiny stones at the bottom right corner (which is not noticeable until I mention !)

Then we open it and....blooms!!!

I was not able to capture the colors that well but in real it is much vibrant. The coloring is done using watercolor pencils and few details using black and white gel pen.

That's all for today. Thanks for visiting. Do let me know your thoughts on the card.

Generation Stamping

Hello Folks,
Today I am sharing a card using the generation stamping technique. This was the first attempt for me so there were some hits and some misses.

Let me share the card first

I used Memento dye ink in two colors for stamping the butterflies (Mudra - Beautiful butterflies) and added color using Staedtler water color pencil. As you can see I did not get a clear first generation stamping and even lighter the second generation one. So I highlighted some features using the water color pencil.

For the sentiment(Mudra - Beautiful butterflies), I used two dye inks to get the ombre effect. Finally added some splatter and matching washi to finish the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a great day!!

I was inspired by some challenges for this card

Valentine Cards

Hi,
Happy Valentine's day!!! Wish you have a great time with your near and dear ones.
I had intended to share lots of Valentine themed  cards in the past week, but it only remained in thoughts :)

Today I managed to create some finally.....

The first one

The flowers from Inspired By Stamping "Friends Forever" stamp set, which I colored using water color pencil and fuzzy cut it. The panel background is from my scrap which I was left from paper smooshing. I used red brush pen to border the panel. Sentiment id from Mudra stamps " Beautiful Butterflies". I used 2 dye inks to get that look on the sentiment.

The second card

Too much shine :). I was actually experimenting with this one. I used a white glue to draw lines across the panel and dusted it with lots of glitter, tapped off the extra and allowed it to dry for some time. I know, with tacky tape I would have got nice clean and crisp lines but I wanted to explore with white glue. Well I was happy with the result!. As if the glitter was not enough I went ahead and added the glitter foam sheet die cut heart and the sentiment from SSS "Heartfelt Notes". It's a bit too blingy but I like it :)

A Sea-horse Valentine!!!

Hello Friends,
With the start of February the blog land is buzzing with Valentine themes, so ,not be left behind I too came up with Valentine card. (There are few more to come in few days )

Well this one is not with the conventional red/pink colors, hearts or color scheme associated with Valentine's day. This one is with sea horses! I have always found them mystical and beautiful and somehow I wanted to make Valentine card using it. And one more reason that somewhere in my mind I was associating Valentine day with them was , I love the fact that male sea horses carry the eggs and not the female ones! That I find it so sweet and adorable to do for your partner. Just wondering if possible for humans also:)

Ok...enough of me turning philosophical, here is the card.....

The sea horse stamp is from my kids stamp set (He generously let's me use his whenever I need it :)) and the heart shaped sentiment and tiny heart bubbles are from SSS Heartfelt Notes. The waves were created by cutting vellum and then coloring and lining with silver stickle. Sea weeds and other details are hand drawn. I added in few details to the heart bubbles and sea horses using while gel pen.
I added a burlap border from Itsy Bitsy to finish off the card.

There were many firsts for me with this card. I used the mirror stamping technique for the sea horse and I think this would me my most layered card till date. Usually I stick to minimum layers.

So that's it from me today. I love to read your comments, please do leave some love.

Have a great week ahead!!!
