This is the first time I am putting an easel card together. I have done some recycling in the process of making it as well.
I started off with using distress ink(Tim Holtz) on the doily. At the center used the chrysanthemum stencil for embossing. I was planning for a glittery paste but somehow did not the get the color and texture I was aiming for so to improvise bordered the design with glitter paste. Added few pearls.
I was in a fix what to use for the base. Searched around for patterned papers- nothing matched it, even thought of coloring paper and using it- but was not sure which colors would look good. Finally I got this paper from an old invitation card. It simply blended so well wiht the card colors I used. So I cut it into shape bordered it with pearls.
Used quilled design (after ages did some quilling) to pep up the card base. Finally added the handwritten sentiment.
Some closer look.
The colors have not come so good in the snap. It is looking much lighter than it actually is. Will keep trying to get a better snap.
