Make A Wish!!!

Hello everyone....second post of the day!!! I think this is the first time I am having such
a quick post. Well had a busy day with crafts :)

This one is a simple card. I have used student water colors to create the background. Simply used a broad brush, half of it applied red shade and the other half yellow and just pulled over lines on the paper. Making sure that each time the lines overlap a little and the colors mix well.
Used more water as and when I needed lighter shade.

Stamped the sentiments on the black paper and heat embossed it. Stamps are from Simon Says Stamp- Big Birthday wishes.

Adhered this on the background paper. Created one more layer of back before putting on the card stock.

Love Birds

Hi friends...I have a recycled project today. I have seen those love birds in a mason jar project and just fell in love. Since a long time I was planning to have a version of my own.

First I do not have a jar of the required size :( and to top it I do not dare to make any thing in glass considering these things have very small shelve life thanks to my son :)

So I went ahead with the resources I have. I decided to try it using a plastic jar I have. First I cut out a heart shape from the side and lined it with red beads. Used some golden leaf and butterfly. I have put some green thing in the bottom for grass, can you guess what it is?????
It is a dish scrubber :P

I have been holding on to these cute little birds from the mobile that I had some time back. After I was done with the design on the jar, I was thinking it is just a matter of time that I will just put the pair of bird inside on a swing. But no......my knowledge of my physics was put to a through test while trying to balance those 2 birds on that stick. They just would not stay straight!! Then my FIL came to my rescue and phew it was finally done. Used washi tape to design the lid of the jar.

I have added some roses across the base and put tassels at the two ends of that swing. This was not easy as I had imagined earlier but I am happy to have it strike out from my list :)

Please do let me know you thoughts on it.

Birthday Card

Hello friends!! Welcome back.
Today I have a simple colorful card. Let me walk you through the making. I used distress ink to put on the color to white paper. I have some pretty flower border stencils which has big bold roses. I have simply put the stencil and rubbed off the ink from paper using wet tissue. Simple but effective.
I stamped sentiment which are not too bold so that the focus stays on the background.

Some close up of the sentiments.
