Stencil cards

Hello friends, welcome back!! I have never posted back to back but this time I am surprising myself. This would be third consecutive day for my post!

Today I played along with my stencil and I loved it! First one came out so well that I made another one as well.

Here we go.....

First made the background with Tim Holtz distress ink and then using stencil made the butterfly and the leaves. Added sentiment from SSS You Can Do Anything stamp set.

This I mounted on a black card base and then on the distressed white card stock. Finished off with the twine. The black cardstock has a flap so that underneath message can be written.

Now for the second one.

This one is again using the same stencil but different images. Distressed the background before using the stencil. Used layer of black card stock and Papericious PP. Finished off with sentiment from SSS Big Birthday Wishes set and few pearls.

Card with Spotlight Technique

I usually do not post on weekday but today is an exception. I had some time in hand and made this card using spotlight technique.

First I stamped the image of the flowers from Inspired By Stamping stamp set. Then highlighted the topmost portion of the image using another piece of cardstock overlapping the underlying image.
Using a pen created faux stitching on both the highlighted panel and the base cardstock.
Background is created using ghosting technique with versamark resist. Those little hearts are from SSS Heartfelt Notes set. Coloring is done by Tim Holtz distress ink and sentiment is from Mudra stamps using Memento tuxedo black ink.

Mounted this on a green card base.

Usually spotlight technique has highlight on a very small portion of the image and mine is almost 50% of the image still I wanted to make it this way.

Another card for the day which is using ghosting technique. I have used versamark resist for the ghosting effect.

Created the panel by stamping with versamark ink and after it dried inked with distress ink. Added border strip at one end. Sentiment is stamped on vellum.

Watercolor card

Hey there...hope you are doing fine. Today I am sharing a watercolor card, a quick one not too complicated. First stamped the flowers and heat embossed using white embossing powder. Colored it using distress ink. For the background just played with more colors from distress ink. Finished off with the sentiment on the left corner. I had masked that part using washi tape.
