Floral Birthday Card

Hello Friends,
Today I am sharing a floral birthday card. I wanted to keep the sentiment in focus and not let the design overpower it.

First I stamped the bold sentiment (SSS) and then used DI to make the free hand floral design. Kept the card simple without any embellishments.

Hope you enjoyed your time here. Thanks for visiting !

Easel Drawer Card

Hi,
Today's project was supposed to a recycling one but it became a semi-recycled craft (I don't know if this is a proper word!). I was hoarding a drawer box since many years and wanted to upcycle it into a easel drawer card but unfortunately I almost broke the drawer and could not use it. Had to make a new drawer and only used the box, hence the semi-recycle  term :) .

Here is the picture from top.

I have used a gold oval die-cut and put a hand-drawn lady silhouette with pearls as jewelry. Added black pearls on the border, some flowers and hearts.

Drawer is made of cardstock and covered with PP (Papericious- Orange Fall). Bordered with golden pearls and added a red button using wire.

The top and the sides are covered with PP(Papericious- Orange Fall). Added the message "Rise and Shine" with flower bouquet sticker and lined with some tiny gemstone.

There is a video too.

Thanks for spending some time here. Have a great day!

Trio of Cards

Hey Friends,
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today I am sharing trio of cards made using same technique but different design.

First, I heat embossed the specific stamps on one side. I then masked that corner of the card and the design and blended some DI. Once I was happy with the color, I splattered some water over it. Then I used different sentiment on each one of them.

I liked the dolphin one the most, let me know your favorite.

Have a great weekend!

Freehand Watercolor Florals

Hi friends,
Start of a new week and I am up with a new card. Nowadays I am in love with water coloring and today's card is hugely inspired by two of the ladies I keenly follow for coloring, Sandy and Kelly. I simply love their work!

Here is the card.

I used DI for coloring the free hand flower bunch and I intended to keep it just water colored card, but I was not too happy with the effect I got, so ended up adding some touch up and detailing with brush pens. While using the brush pens my hands got a little messy and I managed to get some color on few parts of the card! So in came the gold jewels to hide those :)

I did like the card but I still wish to make only water color card with no touch ups. Hopefully next time :)

Wish you have a great week and thanks for spending some time here!

Fluttering butterflies for Birthday Wishes

Hi,
Hope you are having a great Sunday. I was off to my hometown for a break, since my son has summer vacation currently. I was completely on Eat-Sleep-Repeat mode :) So that will explain as to why I did not visit many of the blogs. Lot of catching up to do now.

Coming back to my card. On a light blue cardstock I stamped butterflies(Mudra-Beautiful Butterflies) using London Fog Momento Ink and then colored it using color pencils(Faber Castell). Then I stamped the bold sentiment(SSS) at the center. It's a simple one layer with no embellishments.

That's it for now. Thanks for visiting and have a happy day!!!
