Chrysanthemum Bloom

Hi,
Popping up today to share a colorful card.

I used a stencil of the bloom (chrysanthemum) to color it. The stencil has sparse petals so I layered petals in different colors(water color pencils) by offsetting the stencil each time making sure they overlap. Kept repeating it till I was happy with the volume of the petals. Added some shading and details using white gel pen.

I did botch up a little while adding the grey shade around the flower, it did not come out smooth. Finally added the embossed sentiment at one side and added a border all around using black gel pen.

I hope you like it and share your thoughts on same. Have a great day!

  1. What a fabulous card! Absolutely wonderful stencilling in a lovely colour combination. With the flower as the star attraction you don't notice the grey which is bothering you but looks fine to me. Love the detailing with the white pen. Debra x
