Photo Frames

Hello,
Merry Christmas to all !!!

I am planning to post since couple of days but somehow I am not able to, but what better day than today :)

The frames that I am sharing today were plain white ones which I have altered.

I didn't take a proper picture :( Will try to take better one and update.

As I said these were plain and white, first I added a layer of gesso and then using acrylic colors created grass and clouds. I had this boy and girl chipboards which I colored to make dress, hair and added some details. Colored the sentiment chippes in black and added them on the frames. Also added the flower jewels on it.

I loved how this turned out and would also love to know what you think of these frames.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day !

Enjoy your day!!!

Hi,
Today I am sharing a water colored card. I was inspired by few challenges and wanted to make a card for them.
I mostly focus more on stamping and usually don't build around the stamps but this one is an exception. I actually did build up a scene with a mix of stamp and hand lettering. So this one is close to my heart :)

Here is the card

To start with, on a water color paper I first hand wrote the word "Enjoy" and colored using black gel pen, then stamped those cute birds(Itsy Bitsy - Happy Birdday stamp set) around it. Then using DI water colored the birds, grass, sky and tiny flowers. Once that was done, stamped "Hey there" (from same stamp set) and wrote "your day". Added final touches with white gel pen. Cut the paper to size and mounted on a colored card stock.

I enjoyed making this one and hope you too liked it!! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day :)

Super Quick CAS Card

Hello Friends,
Hope you are having a good day.

Today I am sharing one of the quickest card I ever made. The design just came into mind and I made it without overthinking.

Recently I got this Inkadinkado stamp set which has lovely horse images. I stamped one of them and hand wrote the sentiment "Keep Moving Forward" which I feel goes well with it. Then added the border using a black gel pen. That was it, finished in 5 minutes!

Please do let me know what you think of this one. Have a great day ahead.

Black CAS Card

Hello,
Hope you are having a great day! Today I am sharing a CAS card. I usually don't use dark card stock for cards but this is an exception. Recently I bought Dew Drop Brilliance ink set and love the metallic tones it has. For the card I used Crimson Copper ink for stamping and I just love the shine it gives.

Added the sentiment in same ink. That's all for this card.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great time!

Decoupage Bottle

Hi Friends,
Hope you are doing well. I have been away from blog for quiet some time and could not comment on many of the your blogs. Well, with all the festivities done at my place I think I will be back on regular basis.

Today I am sharing a decoupage bottle. This technique is something new that I learnt sometime back and I really fell in love with it! I am taking tiny steps on this one. There will be few more decoupage posts in future.

Here you go

As with decoupage technique, the glass bottle is covered with 2 layers of gesso and after drying decoupage the napkin on it and then gave a color wash on rest of the area.

A small butterfly on the side of the bottle. At the top used some twine to cover some of the uneven parts. I did think about adding some embellishments but decided against it.

One more view.

Hope you liked it. Please tell me your thoughts on it.

I always appreciate the time you spend on my blog. Thanks for visiting.

OLC - Birthday

Hi,
A quick post today for a CAS card.

It is one of the quick cards I made. First I stamped(Itsy Bitsy - Bird day stampset) and colored it using watercolor pencils. I was too tempted to add something to it, a border, some sequins or some detailing but I had to stop myself as then things get out of control for me :)

So just a simple one layer birthday card. Hope you like it. I really look forward to your kind feedback.

Thanks and have a great day!

Masculine Twist and Pop-up Card

Hello Friends,
In continuation to trying out new styles of card, today I am posting a twist and pop-up card. Since I make very few masculine cards , I tried to make one with this.

This is the front of the card

The PP used is Papericious - The Gentleman and the stamps are from SSS Big Birthday Wishes.

Tunnel Card

Hi,
Happy Friday!

Of late I have been making single layer and CAS cards more so this time tried to challenge myself and make something different. I came across this tutorial on tunnel cards by Jennifer Mcguire and I was sure this needs to be tried. So here is what I came up with

The outside

The inside view

As I said, I followed the tutorial for the measurements. The top I tried to keep simple, initially I planned to keep only the butterfly but it was looking too plain so went with some smooshing. I added the bottom brown strip to hide my flaw :(. As even after following the instructions, the upper flap was little shorter than the base of the card. So added the strip to cover up that flaw :)  Added the washi on the strip to make it more interesting.

Coming to the inner tunnel mechanism, the windows are hand cut. That was the only challenging part as I did not get a very smooth finish. Tried my best to hide the rough edges under the stamped and fuzzy cut leaves and flowers(Layered Mangolia, Leafy, Beautiful butterfly from Mudra). Added layered design using DI at bottom most surface to create some interest before stamping the sentiment. To finish off added few sequins and gems.

I enjoyed making this tunnel card and hope you like it. Thanks for reading through patiently :)

Have a great weekend !!!

Fintastic Birthday

Hello Friends,
Today I am back again with a CAS card. I made this last week but got delayed posting it.
So here it goes

It's very simple CAS card colored using watercolor pencils. Only thing I had to do was layer all those tiny stamps to form the lovely scene in the fish bowl. Added in few details of some granules at bottom and  few bubbles and finished with some highlight with white gel pen.
The stamps and sentiment is from Itsy Bitsy.

That's it from me.

I am delighted that you spent some time here. Do leave some love, it makes my day more brighter :)

Kaleidoscope - Colorful Butterflies

Hi Friends,
Happy Friday :)

Wanted to post this card since a few days but was caught up with other work. Finally doing it today, before getting busy on weekend again.

Created the background by repeatedly stamping the butterfly(Mudra-Beautiful Butterflies) with help of masking. Then colored it using DI and watercolor pencils. Made it colorful and vibrant card.
Sentiment is heat embossed and from the same stamp set.

That's it from me today. Wish you have a great and fun filled weekend !
